The menu may be small but thoughtful, focusing on quality over quantity. While their lunch options primarily feature delightful sandwiches and tempting desserts perfect for a tea time treat, their famed scones are a must-try. We attended the last show, The Great Gossip at Heeren Mansion on 28 July 2024. It was really entertaining and brilliantly executed. My first time attending an interactive drama show. All characters were great and made us part of the act. We were absorded into the characters and felt the emotions. We laughed, teared a bit and felt the emotions that were delivered. Lots of drama and suspense too!. Well done to the cast members!. The lighting & sound effects were great too. Good job !

I finally had the time to visit Krate Cafe after hearing so much about it and wow it did not disappoint! We loved the vibes, the people, the art and of course the FOOD! There weren't a lot of lunch menu choices (mainly sandwiches and and desserts for tea time) and it was relatively out of town but parking was easy and we came during the weekday so it was pretty chill. We tried their famous scones and carrot cake, they were delicious! We ordered the bagel and Big Brunch and sourdough grilled cheese. We loved the marinara sauce that came with it. The smoked duck bagel was really good too. And we had their recommended caramel ice latte, and their honey passionfruit tea. I loved the idea of a community art cafe, and the staffs were all so friendly and apparently they are also in the shows they produce! Should definitely visit if you're in Melaka.

I was pleasantly entertained this Saturday afternoon after watching my first local production in Malaysia. As a Malaysian, the story of The Best Nyonya story truly resonated with me. Seeing the struggles of Neo Lin with her mother touched my heart, and made me appreciate my parents more. All the performers were truly fantastic but Madam Chong stood out to me the most. Her expressions, demeanour (even after the show!) were just so impressive and she really embodied the role so well. Overall this was a truly unexpected afternoon that made me appreciate local Performing Arts talents even more! Thank you to all the people involved in this production for such an amazing show!

Joined their 1-day intensive acting workshop and I really enjoyed it! It was interesting to learn new acting techniques, and see how different people interpret the same script differently. The supportive atmosphere also made it easy for participants to step outside their comfort zones despite meeting each other for the first time. Looking forward to more events from them in the near future.

I've had the pleasure of taking videos of krate's original productions since 2022 and I have seen their tremendous efforts in making it all happen. The people in Krate is full of passion and fun and they are welcoming and inspiring. I've enjoyed my time watching them grow over the years and how it quickly turned into friendship. This community is new to me but I recommend it to anyone who wants to try something new, whether it's art, theater, or simply chilling at their cafe. Grateful for all the memories and more events to come! Keep it up!

“The Gossip: A Phenomenal Show!” My family of three recently attended “The Gossip” at a local theater in Melaka, and it was an unforgettable experience! From start to finish, the service was exceptional. I couldn’t believe how real everything felt—the actors truly transported us into their world. And guess what? I was lucky enough to be selected for the ‘kepoci’ role! At first, I was nervous, but the creative involvement of the audience made it even more exciting. Kudos to the entire team—you’ve truly captured the essence of Malacca. Keep shining!
